FAMILY WHERE life BEINS and love NEVER ENDS...

Hi Friends!  How's your week going?  Here in south Florida it is very hot and humid.  My car broke down and I've had to drive our other car that the air conditioner doesn't work.  I don't even like to leave the house because I'm dripping with sweat and have what I call wind whop (hair all wind blown).   So great to have a scrapbook room that I can get creative and stay out of the heat.
The sketch challenge @ Sketch ~N~ Scrap was really fun!  I love a sketch with larger photos.  It was also there challenge that comes out on Thursday and is called "Twistback Thursday with a Twist"  and the twist was to use Washi Tape....p.s.  I almost forgot that part!

Sportin the Stache...

Hi Friends!  I know it has been a while since I have posted.  I actually completed 3 challenges last month and didn't have time to even enter and post them...ugh.  Well I will try to find a little more time with the holidays over and company gone but I do have my daughters wedding coming up and we have been working on that as well.
For today's post I used a sketch from Scrap Much?  They always have fun sketches to work with and I love to fit them in when I can.  I choose to scrap a picture from 2013 of myself and my grandsons.  My family is very involved with our church and the youth group was having a fun Mystery Dinner fund raiser.  I made the mustaches for the event.

Family Ties...

Hi Friends!  Wow this month is flying by.  We have been enjoying some much needed cooler weather here in the south!  I just love all the fun things to do in the fall.  Wish we had the pretty change of the leaves but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
For this challenge I chose to combine 2 challenges.  Scrapping Everyday Miracles is the sketch challenge I chose to work with and the color challenge @ Off the Rails Scrapbooking.  I love it when I can combine two great challenges!

I flipped the sketch to accommodate my photos better.

All Piled Up...

Hi Friends!  Here's another layout from the all day scrap.  This is of my oldest daughter my niece and nephew 10 years ago.  Wow has time flies.
For my layout I chose to use a cute sketch created by Kelly Holifield from Sketch~N~Scrap.  The sketch is a Halloween design but but not to many fall or Halloween pictures I went a different direction.

Blessed...

Hi Friends!  Today's layout I'm sharing is for the sketch challenge @ Stuck?!.  I just loved the sketch designed by Laura Whitaker and couldn't wait to work on a page.  I went to a PJ Party Witches Brew @ the Craftin Cow and scrapped until the witching hour.  We had a blast so much so that I didn't take any pictures.  The day was a very creative day for me and I was able to work on many challenges which I will be sharing with you this month.
Here's a layout of my husband and I, our oldest daughter and her family last year.  We went to a beautiful waterfront wedding.

A Harvest of Memories..

Hi Friends!   It's Friday and I'm so glad for the weekend!  It was a busy week that it will be good to slow down just a bit.
I have a fall layout to share with you today.  Living in Florida we don't have the fall colors this far south but I'm looking forward to the cooler weather!
For today's challenge  I was inspired by the sketch & fall mood board challenge @ Colorful Creations.  I'm also entering this into challenge #156 fall at Use Your Stuff.

I have been trying to use up my stash as often as I can so for this layout the only thing I cut out with my Explore was the title.

I was inspired by this photo of the pumpkins and the fall leaves and colors.

You Hold my Heart...

Hi Friends!  Wow what a month I've had.  I'm so happy to be able to share with you today one of the layouts I did over a week ago.  First of all I was on vacation for the first half of the month.  Then you know it takes a while to get back into the swing of things when you come home.  Well I went to an all day scrap the Saturday after I got home and worked on some layouts.  Sunday I fell in the shower and bruised my ribs.  Ugh... I will be so glad when this month is over!  I'm still in a lot of pain but wanted to get my layouts posted before the deadlines!  Hope your August is going much better than mine.

For my page I chose to use a great sketch from Stuck on U Sketches.  I used a family picture of my hubby and grandsons!

We Are Family...

Hi Friends!  Can you believe we are over half way through the month?  This summer seems to be flying by.  I'm excited to be going on a road trip with a friend next week up to Indiana to see family & friends!  I hope to get some great pics to scrap!
For my layout I used a cute sketch from Colorful Creations. and combined it with a photo inspiration challenge by Scrap Stuffz "Inspired by Challenges".

Recipe- Paper- DCWV, Piggy Tales, Cricut Cartridges- Create a Critter, Wild Card, Life is a Beach, Doodlecharms, Accent Essentials, Creative Memories Be Young, Stamping,  Ink- Martha Stewart, Dew Drop & Close to My Heart

Scrap Stuffz "Inspired by Challenges"

I was inspired by the color of the birds and the bottle for my color palette.  I chose to add seagulls on my layout for the birds.  The pine cone inspired me to use a tree on my layout and I chose the palm tree.  The last thing that inspired me was that it was outdoors and I chose to use an outdoor photo.

Cherished....

Hi Friends!  How do you start a layout?  Do you choose the sketch first or the pictures?  For me I usually start with the sketch, then I pull out the photos.
For this layout I chose a sketch from Life, Paper, Scrapbook.  I used an old family photo and paired it up with some paper I have had in my stash for a few years.
