Hanging Out with Grandma...

Hello, I hear that those of you up north are getting slammed with snow.  I miss the snow but would only like to spend a little time in it.  I sure don't miss getting the ice and snow off of the windshield and having to heat up the car.  When I talk to my family up in Indiana I love to let them know what the weather is here in Florida.  I love to rub it in.
So while I'm relaxing in the air conditioning,  I have a layout to share. I used the sketch from Stuck on U Sketches.   My layout is of my mom and my son back in 2001.  It's fun to pull out those old photos and see how much everyone has changed.

A Nautical Theme...

Hello, I'm so excited to share with you the newest sketch challenge at D-lish Scraps.  This month's theme is Out to Sea.  They have an inspiration board with a sketch and inspiring pictures to get your creative juices flowing.  I just love all things nautical!  I was so excited to have come across a picture of my kids with their cousins.  As you can see, I loved the nautical theme even back then.

Here's the D-Lish Scraps inspiration board.

So Grateful for You...

Hello!  You won't believe what I did last week...well maybe you would.  I went to enter into a sketch challenge at MME and was putting the finishing touches on the page when I went to check the exact time the challenge was over.  Well it closed early that day!  I was disappointed but it ended up being a blessing because I was able to change the direction of my layout when I saw the newest challenge.  I hadn't added my title, journaling or the pictures to my layout. So all is not lost, I could use the same sketch...with a few changes.  The challenge was to document your gratitude and use mostly MME paper.

I added the names and the year on the front side of my journal tag.

The reason I'm so grateful is that the Lord blessed me with three wonderful children!  Words cannot express how much joy they have brought me.

I just fell in love with this sketch!  Don't be surprised to see this sketch used again.
